July 16, 2010 -- Banquet Door Prize Committee Needs Your Help
If you have a business that you frequent (restaurant, store, salon, etc.) could you please help us out by requesting a donation, (either in the form of a gift certificate, item or coupon) from them for our League Banquet. The League Banquet is in October with over 180 attending. With their donation will come an incentive of a mention in the program booklet and League website as supporters.
A "Dear Manager" letter is available with all this information. Any and all the help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
If you do elicit donations or prizes, please contact the Hildebrandt's. Thank you for your help.

January 10, 2010 -- Happy New Year Senior Golfers!
The only good thing about the snow that currently blankets the course is that it's forcing the grass to take a well-deserved rest before the senior golf clubs of spring start beating on it once again.
The 2009 Golf Season is now in the Yearly Archive. We are currently working on the 2010 Golfer's Guide and Schedule, which should be completed by March. Upcoming important dates are:
- March 2 - Committee Meeting; CRC at 9 a.m.
- April 6 - Organization/Registration Meeting; CRC Gym at 1 p.m.
- May 4 - First Day of Golf

November 27, 2009 -- 2009 Year in Review
The League was started 33 years ago. Long before many of our members knew what senior or even Medicare meant. Over the years, the League membership has steadily increased to our current membership of 213. Once a local senior golf league, we now have members from 25 different suburban cities. This year, 38 new members joined the League. Almost one third of the League members are women. The League age brackets are:
- 17% are 55 - 64
- 52% are 65 - 74
- 26% are 75 - 84
- 4% are 85 plus
It's through the time and efforts of the Committee volunteers throughout the years that make the League what it is today. Many thanks to the volunteers who this year handled Finances, Membership, Registration, Tee Times, Handicaps, Chip-in-pot, Special Events, Public Relations, Awards Banquet, Donations, Trophies, Photos and Website. If you're interested in meeting new people, willing to share your talents and time, think about joining one of the Committees.
Have a great Holiday and a Happy, Healthy New Year!!!
Ed Kelby, Co-Chairman
