The other event for the month is our Best Team Tournament, a scramble, on July 29. The team for this tournament is made up of one player from each of the four flights. It is necessary in this event to have at least 3 players of the team play. Otherwise the whole team will be disqualified.

December 12, 2007 -- 2007 Year in Review

The weather this year was a little wetter than what we would have liked but still another great season of senior golf is behind us. The League changes were:

  • Special Event points payout changed from modified Illinois PGA system to a dollar a point.
  • A Two Person Alternate Shot was added to the Special Events.
New website features include:
  • Player Statistics... displays golf data for a selected player in tabular and graphic format. The data includes the Adjusted Gross Score for the last 20 rounds (including date and course), Course Handicap and Net Score.
  • Slideshows... mini-slideshows composed of several photos of League members taken at Special Events.
  • Golf 411... golf tips and senior fitness information provided by Pepi Irwin (SGC Director of Golf) and Alexian Orthopedics Institute respectively.
  • News Articles... written by Peg Dunn, League Publicity.
Next year the website will be getting a facelift and new layout. Stop by and check it out as well as the latest League news.

Many thanks to the current and previous years Committee volunteers for their hard work that make the League what it is today.

Have a great Holiday and a Happy, Healthy New Year!!!
